Never bought his story about why he was on the bridge. But his previous activity of photographing accident and fire scenes, I believe crime scenes, and selling the pictures .... his interest in those types of goings-on and his insinuating himself in the action....I do not recall if he owned a police scanner, I vaguely remember reading or hearing that he had one. He could have somehow gotten word of the bridge operation and decided to observe. He probably did get a call from some "Cheryl Johnson" at some point but not being the reason he was out there at that time. I believe he was spying on the bridge operation hoping to see something. I find Williams to be an unusual man. It does bother me a bit how Phil Spector-like he is. And everyone remarks how stubborn he is. He told an odd fabricated story perhaps because he did not want consequences for why he was really out there and to be possibly charged for interfering with the bridge operation. So if Wayne got hundreds of calls did he go out at 2 or 3 in the morning EVERY night to confirm calls. Ya right.
Okay. Are you seriously trying to convince people that a BEAVER "just happened" to slap its tail on the water at the same exact time that the only car to drive across the bridge in hours was the one driven by Wayne? A person who the police had already kind of looked at? Honestly, this podcast (and I'm LOVING this podcast!) - but honestly, it's just doing a really good job of convincing me that they DID get the right guy for those murders.
